Suckerpunch is a movie that contains all those things and more. It's also a movie in which I paid way more attention to the clothes than whatever intense fighting scene was occurring on screen. I've found lately certain things are much more entertaining for me to enjoy purely for the clothes than they are to actually watch. (ie, Gossip Girl ) It was a great movie but above all, I could've been equally entertained had it been on mute.
Perhaps I'm the only one in the world who feels this way but when the wardrobe is so bad ass, inspiration hits and clouds over everything else. Especially in this case, since I've been obsessed with futuristic warrior bondage inspired clothing for a long time now and this just added fuel to the fire.

My advice: The key here is attitude, if putting on these clothes is more likely to make you feel like you're playing warrior girl dress up then don't wear them, it's that simple. Once you have the mindset that you look ridiculous, you will look ridiculous. But if you have the cocky rebellious attitude that yes, you look hot. Then for the night, you are that powerful chick who can fight off dragons and demons had the world decided to end in the next few minutes. The best part of it all is everybody will think exactly the same thing because they know if they don't.... well, they don't want to cross you.
One thing is for sure I definitely found my Halloween costume for this year.

The beauty of Sucker Punch though, and Snyder's movies in general, is that they work on two levels: the aesthetic and the intellectual. There are some scenes where you can just relax and enjoy the choreography, costuming, and cinematography. There are other scenes where you really have to listen to what the characters are saying and watch what they're doing. When you combine these two elements you have amazing mind candy of a movie.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree and I did enjoy it on another level besides visually. But speaking from first time watching it, that's just what I took out of it. I'd most likely have to watch it again to really appreciate it.
